Ruins of St. Astvatsatsin Church
The St. Mariam Astvatsatsin Church (Holy Mother of Christ) was built in 16-17 centuries. Though the church has not been perfectly preserved as a glimpse of history, it is now a favorite place both for locals and tourists. The church itself is made of red touf (Armenian local stone) and features local cross – stones (khachkars) not found elsewhere in Armenia. The architecture of 16th century is truly magnificent and attracts thousands of visitors every year. The church is located in the center of Ttudjur village, next to natural spring of mineral waters.
